I see an SSL error on my site

There are several reasons why your browser may show SSL errors when opening your website. Here are the most common ones and how to fix them:

Make sure you have SSL installed

First, make sure that you have an SSL installed on your website. You can verify this and install a new SSL certificate from your Site Tools > Security > SSL Manager. Select the domain you want SSL installed on, pick an SSL and click on Install.

Reinstall the SSL

Even though you have already installed SSL for your website, when you try to access it through a secure HTTPS connection you might encounter a warning that the SSL certificate is not issued by a trusted authority. In most of the cases this is resolved by reinstalling the SSL. You can do this in your Site Tools > Security > SSL Manager. Once in the tool, delete the SSL causing issues and install it anew.

Troubleshoot “mixed content” issues

In many cases when you install an SSL certificate for your website and reconfigure it to open via HTTPS, there are still items on the website’s pages that are requested via HTTP. This is called mixed content. If you are using WordPress and experiencing this issue, you can refer to the following article on how to fix it.
