With us you can deploy your code with your preferred workflow. We give you powerful tools like SSH, WP-CLI, SFTP, phpMyAdmin and the account access you need to work the way you want. On top of that, you can take advantage of our Staging tool (on GrowBig and higher plans) and Git integration (on GoGeek and higher plans) for seamless deployment process.
Multiple PHP Versions
Our setup allows you to choose which PHP version to use. By default your account is set up with the latest PHP that is considered mature enough. However, you can change it manually to a newer or older version, if your project requires it. You can apply different PHP versions to different folders in your account with a single line in your .htaccess file or by using the PHP Version tool in your control panel.
Multi-Level Caching You Control
By default we enable NGINX Direct Delivery for all sites. On GrowBig and GoGeek plans we also provide WordPress full-page dynamic cache option by using NGINX as a reverse-proxy and Memcached for object cache. Whether you manage a fairly simple blog site or a complex WooCommerce shop, you can significantly improve their speed with our caching options. Customization of cache setting is also possible through our interface, based on your specific site needs.
WordPress migrator
The SiteGround WordPress Migrator plugin helps you transfer WordPress sites to SiteGround easier and faster than ever. All you need to do is download the plugin and generate a token from your hosting account. Just follow the instructions and your website will be migrated before you know it at no additional cost!

Modern Software Stack
SiteGround’s hosting platform runs on Linux Containers (LXC), which allow a more efficient and fast resource allocation to absorb spikes in traffic. Our web server is powered by a highly-customised Apache and we use NGINX as a reverse proxy for our caching system. To complete the stack, we run the latest PHP versions, MySQL (Percona), and PostgreSQL.

We maintain a WAF for which we constantly write new security rules. In the past year alone, we added 300 custom rules that stopped various identified-yet-unresolved vulnerabilities. We also developed solutions such as an AI bot that has stopped millions of brute force attacks every hour and prevented a variety of incoming security threats to our servers.
